Ian Connors, Director of Sports Performance, M.S, CSCS
Ian serves as the Director of Sports Performance at 4.40 Performance. Ian is the guiding force behind 4.40 Performance's training philosophy & methodology, utilizing a science-driven approach to continuously evolve & improve upon his understanding of human performance. He oversees all performance training, instructor quality & staff eduction. Prior to joining the 4.40 Performance staff, Ian attended Miami University in Oxford, Ohio where he earned both his B.S. & M.S. in Exercise Science. While completing his Masters degree he participated in and managed the muscle physiology laboratory, conducting research focused on skeletal muscle inflammation and the role of physical activity and other lifestyle factors on such markers. Ian is a published researcher and has presented his lab findings at several regional & national conferences (American College of Sports Medicine). Ian is recognized as a Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) by the National Strength & Conditioning Association.
Alexis Kroah, Director of Business Operations, Assistant Director of Sports Performance, B.S.
Alexis serves as the Director of Business Operations & Assistant Director of Sports Performance at 4.40 Performance. In this role, she manages all daily facilty operations, coordinates schedules, manages web & phone correspondence, and assists with the oversight of staff & programming. Alexis has been with the company since its inception in 2011, first as an athlete, then as an intern, and finally her current role. Prior to joining the 4.40 Performance staff, Alexis was an accomplished Division 1 lacrosse player at Winthrop University in Rock Hill, South Carolina and a two-time Big South Champion. Alexis completed her degree in Exercise Science during this time, graduating in May 2016. Upon graduating with her B.S., Alexis completed a 6-month Athletic Performance Internship at the University of California, Los Angeles where she coached several 2012 & 2016 Summer Olympic athletes.
Alex Masl, Sports Performance Coach
Alex’s background comes from previous sports and training experiences. He has been with the 4.40 family since 2014. He completed a summer internship at 4.40 Performance where he gained experience and knowledge on Sports Performance Coaching. After playing football at Lake High School and graduating in 2016, he was offered to play at the University of Mount Union, but was unable due to injury. He is currently studying Exercise Science at the University of Akron.
